  1. OMGOSH! Jenny.....remember when we watched the 1989 Steve Martin movie "Parenthood" at my house, when Elena was pregnant, and her unmarried sister was there? How horrified I was because I forgot all the stuff in that movie??? That alone was funny.....BUT the movie is STILL a MUST!!!

  13. I agree with the My Big Fat Greek Wedding choice. I'm not a big fan of Jim Cary, but Denny and I always get a good laugh out of The Mask!

  15. Laughing therapy is the best...so here goes. First, off the top of my head:
    Groundhog Day
    Forrest Gump
The Dictator (if you like Sacha Baron Cohen - he's always raunchy but goes where no one else will to hilarious effect).
Monty Python and the Holy Grail (the only thing that made mom laugh when she was going through heartbreaking stuff)
    My Fair Lady
    Toy Story
    Some Like it Hot
Best in Show (if you like Christopher Guest)

And now my top few picks selected from Yahoo 100 funniest movies to see before you die:
    Anchorman
    Austin Powers
Bridesmaids - My ultimate laugh until something falls out of your nose movie.
    Ferris Bueller's Day Off
    The Hangover
    Raising Arizona
Tropic Thunder (so wrong, so hilarious)
    Zoolander

    Anything with Bill Murray

    I love you Aunt Jenny!

  18. Thou Shalt Laugh - it's a dvd of christian comedians. The first one is the best (I think). And the TV series The Middle always cracks me up.

  19. This isn't a movie, but when Tim and I were going through our really "hard" time we watched Whose Line is Is Anyway? We still watch the re runs today. We laugh till we cry sometimes ... best therapy ever!

  20. Some suggestions from the Gillette household: old Jerry Lewis movies like The Nutty Professor, The Family Jewels and The Caddy. TV series Andy Griffith, Bill Cosby and Sanford and Sons. An old corny one but with good nautical humor with good comedians is The Boatniks (lots of bikinis though in an early 70's movie).

  21. Jenny and Gang...thinking of you all daily...along with an insane instinct to bake something...brownies and lemon bars anyone? ;)

Here are my comedy offerings for today...Legally Blonde, Sweet Home Alabama, Something's Gotta Give, As Good As It Gets, Overboard, and though it's also romance, I think Pride & Prejudice has many a funny moment in it.

    Hugs and kisses all around
    LiAnn
