Onto the next Phase

Jenny is continue to recover, yesterday was Tim's (our son) 19th birthday, Jenny joined us downstairs for a grand celebration with 5 guys burgers and fries and a homemade flour-less chocolate cake that her sister Maria made.

We start on the next round of post surgery activities on Monday next week when we go in to have the stitches/staples removed and then meet with the chemo-oncologist to map out the treatment plan. They should have the final pathology available and be able to formulate the best course of action. Then, on Tuesday of next week, we meet with the radiation oncologist to finalize that treatment plan.

Pray that Jenny continues to grow stronger and that the periodic pain in her legs would dissipate. Thank you all for your kind notes, blog entries, emails, and text messages, I am making sure that Jenny sees them all. She has been greatly encouraged.

  1. Here’s a promise you can stand on when your world has been shaken: “But God is faithful.” Jesus said, “Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away” (Lk 21:33). In a world of uncertainty you can sing, “On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand.” Your job, your health, your relationships and your investments are all “sinking sand.” But God’s faithfulness is as solid as a rock. He will be faithful to you in the delivery room, in the operating room, and in the unemployment line, The Psalmist wrote: “I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart” (Ps 27:13-14 NKJV). From a daily devotional.

  2. Grateful to hear Maria is still there! Let us know as needs come up. Happy to help however we can. You are all on our hearts and in our prayers daily. We love you guys. (Happy birthday, Tim! He was one of my favorites in my two-year-old's class! Hard to believe he's 19! Sheesh!)
