Day 2 in ICU

The chemo doctor and the neurosurgeon just left the room, Jenny's recovery is going well. They will be removing most of the various things that are hanging off her in a little while and we'll likely me moving out of the ICU this afternoon. Jenny is doing great, just really tired. She ate about half a pancake this morning, which represents major progress.

She called me this morning to request a toothbrush and a specific outfit to wear, so that certainly is progress!

Since she has been in ICU, most of the kids have not been able to see her yet, so, we are planning a hospital field trip this afternoon for them. I know that Jenny would love to see all of you, but hospital visits at this time would be overwhelming, thank you so much all for your prayers and support, I look forward to getting Jenny home so we can arrange some visiting and catch-up time.

The next steps are getting up and walking around a little, continuing to eat and get stronger, and then going home to continue the recovery in a more comforting environment.

  5. Ray, she's a fighter! It was so good to hug her before she went in and see her say how she knows that God is good (and I absolutely know that she truly believes that.) I am rejoicing that she is doing so well. Thanks for the updates.
