Follow-up MRI Results / Post Op Recovery

Just got off the phone with the neurosurgeon that performed Jenny's surgery, his thoughts were that they were able to get more of the tumor than they thought they would, and that her brain has responded well physically with the new found space available. The fact that so much stuff was taken out will likely lead to a little longer post operative recovery time, but be beneficial in the longer term.

So, Jenny will be in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) tonight (where we have been wonderfully served by nurse Amanda - an answer to many prayers) and she'll receive one-on-one care, then we'll see tomorrow if she can be moved to a standard care room. Pray specifically that she will be able to eat and keep food down, this will help her grow in strength and help everyone feel better about the post-op recovery (what Italian doesn't feel better when they eat and watch others eat?)

  5. Have her mom make her infamous pizza. No one can resist that! Take it from a professional Paparella Friday night pizza eater. Keep getting stronger Jenny! Sending continued love & prayers.
