Going Home Again!

After a very short stay, we are heading home, the steroids did the trick. The Physical Therapist said that she might need some in-home PT help, but generally she is doing great and did a couple of laps here in the hospital without incident.

One huge change of the reduced swelling (in additional to being able to walk better) is that Jenny has, for the first time in months, started to show emotional responses to things. She is back to her crying self today - which is hugely encouraging. She cried when I shared some of the emails and blog posts that you have sent, she cried when she read the letter her Dad sent her, she laughed, expressed a desire for a Soy Latte (which she is now drinking - a "Starbucks Steroid"), and is currently encouraging her friend on the phone who is dealing with a very painful situation.

Thank you all who are carrying us in your hearts, and interceding on our behalf. We love you dearly.

  1. This morning, Gray prayed for Jenny. It reminded me of how much you guys have touched our family, down to the youngest one. Love you all and are praying daily.

  3. I don't know who keeps us on our toes more, our kids or the Lord (no pun intended)! We are fearfully and wonderfully made, aren't we? He can move the mountains and move tiny little cells in our bodies. He will continue to give you the grace, faith and wisdom to continue on.

    Praying,

  6. This morning I stole Nehemiah's prayer and prayed it for Jenny: O Lord, God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant of love with those who love Him and obey His commands, let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying before you - that You would heal Jenny's legs and reduce her swelling, and would you heal her completely that no vestige of the cancer is left.
I hope this encourages her, and you all, that God Himself is shaping our prayers, prompting us what to pray and then answering our prayers! Similarly, Ray, I am encouraged to see how you, Jenny, Maria and the kids are faithful to walk in the grace He is providing! Love you all...

  9. Thank you, Ray, for your consistent updates through this blog. It is quite helpful to us especially in regard to praying effectively. It helps, too, as we deal with the geographic distance and separation and feelings of helplessness at times. We love all of you very much.

And thank you dear Jesus for your unending mercy, grace and strength. He is so faithful.
